Description

Just one of those pieces that have no real story behind it, just random inspiration. Saw it my head and it had to come out. I'm still working on it, I just need to color it.

Girl- "Hey, why are you flying around like that?"
Fae- "I'm one of the fae folk. It's what we do."
Girl- "It's just you were at the perfect angle to look down my dress..."
Fae- "I was not looking down your dress."
Girl- "What are you looking at right now?"
Fae- "I'm not gazing into the inviting depths of your heaving cleavage..."

Jokes aside, this is a solid piece. It very readily suggests a story to me. "Temptation of the Innocent," and despite my lead in I mean with wishes. It's like the girl is saying "I can have any wish I want?" And the fae says sure, but there's a price or a catch (like her first born or something).

I'm able to make up this story in my head (correct or not) because of your skill in rendering these characters. The girl's expression really does seem to be of innocent wonder to me, and the fae hovering about getting behind her is a staple of villain body language.

If you'd like to see a comparable scene from a modern movie, look up the animated Sinbad the Sailor movie from Dreamworks. The scene where Eris, goddess of chaos, tempts Sinbad (in the beginning when he fell off the ship) is very much in this vein.

The only thing I would say conceptually needs a little help is actually the girl's dress. The ultra poofy skirts generally indicate womanliness or innocence, but the upper half is very revealing indeed. The upper half could almost be her underwear.
