Mikala is a feminized version of a male character 'Mikalo' from web comic 'Redemption' which belongs to Nusha Amini, aka Negshin 
There was a joke in the Redemption shoutboard and I was just inspired to do this. I guess its an inside joke if you will. I would really recommend that you go read the webcomic, it is done by an awesome artist and the story is well told.
